Tamarindo is a popular beach town located on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It's renowned for its beautiful beaches, excellent surfing conditions, and vibrant nightlife. Tamarindo combines natural beauty with a fun, laid-back atmosphere, making it a favorite destination for beach lovers and adventure seekers.

US nationals must have a current valid passport and a return ticket to exit Costa Rica within 180 days. Your passport must be valid for a minimum of one day from the day you enter Costa Rica. You do not need a visa for entry.

The nearest major airport is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, about an hour's drive from Tamarindo.

The Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San José is over 5 hours away, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AIRPORT.

We have coordinated airport transportation with our wedding planner. This optional, paid service can be shared with other guests arriving at similar times. It is a door-to-door service, picking you up at the airport and dropping you off at your hotel. The shuttle includes snacks, drinks, and one bathroom break (if needed).

Round trip cost: $100 + 13% tax per person

One-way trip cost: $50 + 13% tax per person

Otherwise you can rent a car, take a shuttle, or hire a taxi from the airport to Tamarindo on your own.
